Wednesday Mornings 2009
In April Kathleen Keogh held Solo's in her home on Wednesday mornings.
She was joined by guest artists
David Rafn and
Noelle Stiles, as well
as fellow Woolly Mammoth, Rikki Rothenberg.
Me: Do you really know me? Do you really want to know me? Do I really want you to know me?
You: Do I really know you? Do you really want me to know you? Do I really want to know you?
Me/You: Do I really know me? Is there really a me/you to know?
(Boy George: Do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to make me cry?)She was thinking about
Technology / Privacy / Identity / Illusion / Anonymity / Transparency / Authenticity / Image / Intimacy / /
These are some thoughts she proposed and offerings she made:
I will perform, and provide coffee and tea. Maybe snacks. Feel free
to bring snacks etc.
You may arrive and I'll already be up and moving around, or sitting and sipping tea/gulping coffee, or still in bed.
You can arrive and leave when you want.
You can invite someone.
You can have/make coffee, tea, and
snacks.
You can wake me up if I'm still in
bed (after you let yourself into my apartment if I don't answer the
door).
You can
look
and listen.
You can watch me perform.
You can take pictures.
:
You can hang out and socialize.
You can stand outside and smoke cigarettes.
You can
watch TV.
You can take a nap.
Just you being there, me being there, we are part of it.
